Pre-Track-Day Inspection Terms.
What the inspection covers, what it cannot prove, and how to use the report.
Pre-Track-Day Inspection Terms version: 19 September 2026 (v1).
These terms apply to the Afiléon Motorsport mobile pre-track-day vehicle inspection. They should be read with the Booking Terms.
1. Purpose of the inspection
The service is a practical pre-track readiness inspection intended to identify reasonably observable issues before a track day. It is not an MOT, an engineering certificate, an official race scrutineering inspection, a valuation, or a guarantee that a circuit or organiser will accept the vehicle.
2. Safe working location
The customer must provide safe, level, off-road hardstanding with enough room to work around the vehicle, jack it safely and remove wheels where required. If the location is unsafe, inaccessible or unsuitable, we may pause, relocate or refuse the inspection. Additional travel or return-visit costs may apply where the issue is attributable to the customer.
3. Vehicle access and information
The customer must provide keys and disclose known faults, warning lights, modifications, unusual jacking points, wheel-locking devices, centre-lock systems, competition components and any other information reasonably relevant to the inspection.
4. Inspection scope
Depending on the vehicle and access, the inspection may cover tyres and pressures, tread/visible condition, wheels and fasteners, brakes and visible pad/disc condition, steering and suspension observations, fluids and visible leaks, cooling system observations, engine bay, battery/electrical warnings, bodywork security, cabin/safety items and other practical track-readiness checks.
5. Measurements and limitations
Recorded tyre pressures, tread depths, pad/disc measurements or other readings reflect the condition at the time and the reasonable accuracy of the equipment used. Components hidden from view, internal faults, intermittent faults, fatigue cracks, latent defects and failures that require dismantling or specialist testing may not be detectable.
6. Outcome categories
The report may record that no significant issue was identified, that the vehicle appears suitable to proceed subject to advisories/monitoring, that rectification is required before track use, or that the vehicle should not be used on track until repaired and rechecked. The customer should treat any safety-critical recommendation seriously.
7. Repairs, parts and consumables
The inspection price does not include parts, fluids, consumables or repair work unless expressly agreed. The customer normally supplies required parts/consumables. If we carry out additional work, its scope and price will be agreed separately where practicable.
8. Reinspection
Where a defect is identified, a later repair does not automatically change the original inspection result. A reinspection may be recommended before track use, particularly where a safety-critical item was recorded.
9. Changes after inspection
Vehicle condition can change after the inspection through road use, transport, tyre changes, repairs, impacts, overheating, fluid loss or component failure. The driver/customer should carry out appropriate checks again before and during the event and should not rely on an earlier inspection if circumstances have materially changed.
10. Driver reporting on the day
If the driver later experiences unusual braking, steering, vibration, movement, noise, warning lights, smoke, smell, leaks or another abnormal condition, they should report it and stop using the vehicle where continuing could create a safety risk or worsen damage.
11. Organiser requirements
The customer remains responsible for organiser rules, noise limits, helmet/clothing requirements, technical regulations and any official scrutineering. Afiléon Motorsport's inspection does not replace those obligations.
12. Our responsibility
We will perform the inspection with reasonable care and skill and accurately record the findings we reasonably make. We are not responsible merely because a latent or subsequently developing fault was not identifiable during a non-destructive practical inspection. This does not exclude responsibility for loss caused by our negligence or breach of contract.
13. Photos and records
We may take photographs and retain measurements, findings and customer acknowledgement for operational, quality, insurance and dispute-resolution purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Cancellation, payment and contact
Payment, travel pricing, cancellation and rescheduling are governed by the Booking Terms. Questions about a report should be sent to team@afileonmotorsport.co.uk.
